This week's bonus HBO Tales From the Crypt cover was from one of the feature length films...seems someone had the idea of creating a franchise restaurant using the Crypt theme. Needless to say, that never happened...though the image was used in the film.

Here is the second Lori Lovecraft story which introduces Horatio and Zelda (two of my favorite characters) and the concept of Voodoo Mansion. And I got to cast William Powell in the tale. Enjoy!

HOUSE ON HORROR HILL

This short piece was done for one of Sal Quartuccio's books. I'm always amazed looking back at it, that there is so much more life, storytelling and design than in anything I was doing for traditional comics at the time. And I got to ink it myself.

A couple of bonus pinups this week. A Lori Lovecraft, and one of the drawings I did as development for Voodoo Mansion.

LINDA LOVECRAFT: HIGH PRIESTESS OF SEXUAL FANTASY

This is the first of the Linda Lovecraft stories that I did for Star*Reach comics back in the mid 70's. There's a lot of Wally Wood and Mad Comics influence...with some Frazetta thrown in.  Enjoy!

Our HBO Tales from the Crypt bonus cover this week is "Came the Dawn". What I remember about the shoot, was meeting Brooke Shields and when I shook hands with her, she had a grip like a linebacker. And I'm afraid my drawing didn't come anywhere close to the brilliant job that Wally Wood did on the original comicbook story.
