All Roads Lead to Rome PT. 6

Once more return to the faux Hollywood of the thirties, in this new Retrowood tale, All Roads Lead to Rome.  There are elements of the story that I swiped from Dashiel Hammett that I felt guilty about, until I saw the same story points in at least a half a dozen other films from the era. See how many Hollywood legends you can recognize and just remember the Retrowood motto: Based on false stories and innuendo.

Below are some of the illustrations and commissions that Mike has been working on recently.

Below is an illustration that I'm selling as a print of the late, great Adam West as Batman and the spectacular Julie Newmar as Catwoman.

An in progress, and finished version of Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard in "The Cat and the Canary." And at the bottom, Warner Oland and Key Luke as Charlie Chan and Number One Son. Both movies that Parker certainly would have watched in his era.

And lastly, here is a commission I did for a fan recently of Betty and Archie and Jughead.

All Roads Lead to Rome PT.3

Once more return to the faux Hollywood of the thirties, in this new Retrowood tale, All Roads Lead to Rome.  There are elements of the story that I swiped from Dashiel Hammett that I felt guilty about, until I saw the same story points in at least a half a dozen other films from the era. Before I even start writing any of the Retrowood stories, there is always a good bit of research and developmental drawings. Below are just some examples of the planning sketches.
