This week is a very early work I did when I first started in comics and it was submitted to a couple of different underground publishers. I can't remember if we even ever saw a print. Looking at the story, I do remember I used an older Gary Cooper as my model for the lead.
The following three drawings were for the development of a deco Batman project that Howard Chaykin and I played around with. Certainly the anti-semitic radio priest, Father Coughlin (from my home city of Detroit) was one of the central characters. Once again, I cast Cooper as Bruce Wayne, Marlene Dietrich as Catwoman and the great character actor Eric Blore as Alfred.
Boris Karloff as Doctor Fu Manchu.
