Our HBO Tales from the Crypt bonus cover this week is the very gruesome "Confession."  "Pointlessly gory.." was Steve ditko's comment when I sent him a xerox of the cover recently. Can't argue with him on that.

KIDNAPPED PT. 1

When I was a kid I read all kinds of comics from funny animal, mystery, western, Archie, superhero...there was a wonderful menu of titles available in the mid 1950's. But my favorites and ones I actually saved and "collected" were Classics Illustrated. So when I had the chance to do my own adaptation of one in 1991 I was thrilled. One of my favorite boyhood stories: Kidnapped, by Robert Louis Stevenson.
