NecroNymph PT. 1

This was the last Linda Lovecraft story (not Lori) that appeared in Star*Reach Comics back in the early 70's. We had kind of taken the characters as far as we could go and when I brought the character back as Lori years later, she was completely revamped. Interesting that, I ended this series with Linda, resolving her romance with the mad Arab, Abdul Alazred, while the first Lori Lovecraft story opened with a rekindling of that romance... sort of.

Mad Mummy Book 3 PT. 3

Hi Everyone! This is Leyanna, Mike's assistant. This next issue is one of the Mad Mummy books that I've worked on with Mike. You'd think after 3000 years, someone would get over a bad breakup! In this issue, the Mad Mummy reconnects with his estranged wife, Ankhesenamun.

This week's HBO Tales from the Crypt covers are firstly,Yellow. While working on this show, I literally met hundreds of actors, and one legitimate movie star: Kirk Douglas. His son Eric and Dan Aykroyd also starred in this episode directed by Robert Zemeckis. The second episode, You, Murderer, also directed by Zemeckis starred John Lithgow, and Isabella Rosselline (dressed and made up to look exactly like her mother Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca), and featured a digital appearance by Humphry Bogart.

This week's HBO Tales from the Crypt covers are What's Cookin? starring Christopher Reeve, Meat Loaf, and Judd Nelson. This episode was written and directed by Gil Adler, who was also the producer of the show (and Mike's boss). The second cover is Whirlpool, starring Rita Rudner and Richard Lewis and directed by Mick Garris. It was also the only time Mike got to do a cameo appearance on the show... of course, typecast as a cartoonist in the background.
