RETROWOOD H.I. OR L.O. Pt. 2

One of my favorite comic projects was the fictional world of Retrowood, my answer to doing a historical story about Hollywood and the Great Depression without being burdened with historical accurary. Our motto was always our tales are based on False Stories and Innuendo.  Enjoy  private investigator J. Parker Wrighte on his quest for upward mobility in the land of sunshine.

This week's HBO Tales From the Crypt covers are "Oil's Well That End's Well" starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Priscilla Presley and "On a Dead Man's Chest", one that was actually drawn by my friend,  the late Dan Spiegle. You can see my tribute to Dan on : Vozwords: http://vozwords.blogspot.com/2017/02/a-tribute-to-dan-spiegle.html

RETROWOOD H.I. OR L.O. Pt. 1

Our two HBO Tales from the Crypt covers this week are "New Arrival" with David  Warner and "None But the Lonely Heart"  directed by Tom Hanks and starring Treat Williams, who suggested the idea for the cover.

HEROINE ADDICTION PT. 3

For most of my career in comics, I was usually handed all of the female characters who had their own comics. It seemed only natural that I should put together a sketchbook of some of the lovely heroines that I have drawn over the years for Marvel, DC, and my creator owned comics. So here online, is Heroine Addiction, a collection perhaps more deadly than any drug.

Don't forget to visit our archives on the right for any episodes of this or other stories that you've missed. And most of our stories are available at iVerse/Comics Plus for your enjoyment: (And our financial gain.) To open a new window: CLICK HERE

The HBO Tales From the Crypt covers for the week are "Mute Witness to Murder" starring Richard Thomas, who I spent some time talking with, and Patricia Clarkston, who I didn't get to meet and was pretty much an unknown at the time. Damn! The other cover is "My Brother's Keeper", featuring the lovely Jessica Harper whom I did get to meet, but didn't get to draw on the cover. Damn again!!

This week's HBO Tales From the Crypt covers are two comps that I did for two of the three planned Tales from the Crypt feature length films. One was a Frankenstein type action hero, and the other was the beginning of Demon Knight.
