MS. MARVEL PT. 5

This story actually was the first part of this Ms. Marvel trilogy and was scheduled to be an issue of Ms. Marvel, but never saw print when that book was cancelled. When it was to appear in Fanfare a few years later I remember going back and finishing the job and repenciling  and reinking some of the final pages. I've included xeroxes of what pencil pages I have so that you can see this process. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have a xerox of page two...or a copy of the Essential Ms. Marvel (guess they didn't bother to send me that one.)

Next week another Mad Mummy tale continuing his adventures with the Chinese doctor and Adam's longstanding (3000 years) relationship with that man's daughter.

MS. MARVEL PT. 3

Part three of the Ms. Marvel and Rogue tale...and the beginning of the first part of this trilogy. Sorry they didn't appear in order, but just found the xeroxes of this latest story this week.  The penciled page was eventually inked by Terry Austin and was a preview for the third part of the story.

MS. MARVEL: ROGUE INTRODUCTION PT. 2

Here's one of my more bittersweet jobs from my Marvel Comics career, a Ms. Marvel tale that Chris Claremont wrote. It was somewhat of an origin story of the villainess Rogue, and also featured Raven and Destiny. For me, it was the first chance I got to ink myself for an entire book, so it was a bit of a portfolio piece for me. Unfortunately, since it was part of a three chapter saga, the story never appeared until a decade later...and I had pretty much left comics for animation by then.  Found these xeroxes in my storage unit a bit ago.  

This week I found the xeroxes I did of the first part of this story several years before. That job was actually slated to be the last issue of Ms. Marvel, but I think it wound up not being printed to much later. I can see on the art that I was doing additions/corrections at a much later date. I'll post

that work after the last installment of the current story.
